With great activities for young and old, this adventure will change the way kids look at history and leave everybody wanting to see more of China.
There is so much to see in Beijing and so many ways to see it! Hire a bike and join the locals as they ride through the city, or shop in the intricate maze of city markets. Jump on a rickshaw for a tour of the old style alleyways and court yard houses of the hutongs and explore Tiananmen Square and the imperial Forbidden City. Then it's time for a walk along the world's most famous wall, the incredible Great Wall of China. Built to keep out the 'barbarians of the north', the wall rises high on mountain ridges and stretches out over 6,000km.
Imagine thousands of ancient stone soldiers all standing in battle formation ready to protect their emperor. These are the Terracotta Warriors who have stood to attention in Xi'an for 2,000 years. There are many other attractions in this fascinating city. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city in the serene Great Mosque, watch the sunset from atop the enormous city walls and nibble on delicious food from the evening markets. The mornings, when locals are out exercising en mass, are a great time to wander around the parks. Join in, make some friends and learn some tai chi or even ballroom dancing moves!
Thousands of towering limestone peaks rise majestically from lush surroundings in this picture-postcard area of southern China. Explore the magical countryside by bike, learn the craft of Chinese cooking, try your hand at calligraphy or take a boat ride along the Li River as it winds between the mystical peaks. In true Chinese tradition, each of them is impressively named!
Vibrant Hong Kong is jam-packed with things to do - take a tram up Victoria Peak for panoramic city views, enjoy a harbour cruise or explore some of the excellent interactive museums. There is an option to visit the nearby Ocean Fun Park and latest Disneyland or head over to Stanley Market to pick up some silk or handicraft mementos of this fantastic Chinese experience.
