Depart the 'City of Gold' early in the morning to start the safari adventure of a lifetime. Arrive in the Greater Kruger in time for lunch. This famous region is a sprawling stretch of savannah, dotted with acacia thickets. Spend the afternoon on dramatic game drives in open 4x4 vehicles through a private game reserve in the Greater Kruger. There's plenty to see here so keep an eye out for Africa's Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos and cape buffaloes. Afterwards, return to your Kruger base, a comfortable lodge on the park's outskirts. Mingle with fellow guests and relive stories of close encounters with the Big Five over a sundowner.
Head out on safari through the grasslands, and by the waterholes, dotted throughout Kruger National Park. Seek out lions lazing under shady bushes, search for elephants and spy the plethora of birdlife darting through the trees. In the evening enjoy dinner in a traditional boma around a log fire. The next day is free for your own explorations. Head out on more game drives or settle in at the lodge with a cool drink. We take an exciting sunset drive to see another side of the Kruger as nocturnal creatures venture into the open, ready for a night of hunting.
Begin the day with a simple breakfast of coffee and rusks before heading out on an early morning nature walk with a local guide. Sadly, it's then time to bid farewell to Kruger National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive back to the bright lights of Johannesburg.
