The first day of the tour starts with a short city tour around Reykjavik. Among places we will see are the old harbour, the city center, Hallgrimskirkja church and the Pearl. Then we continue to Þingvellir (Parliament Plaines), the location of the old parliament and a geological phenomenon. We then continue to the Geyser geothermal area for a spouting hot spring and to Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall, where on a sunny day you can see a rainbow in the spray above the waterfall.

We start the day by visiting the waterfalls of Seljarlandsfoss and Skogarfoss. From there we continue to the beautiful scenery of Iceland's South Shore such as bird life at Dyrholaey, Solheimajokull Glacier, the rocks of Reynisdrangar, black sands and the lava of the Laki eruption in 1782-1783. We then drive to the Glacier Lagoon (Jokulsarlon) for an amazing boat tour between the icebergs.

Today we continue towards the oasis at Skaftafell national park close to Vatnajokull, Europe's biggest glacier. At Skaftafell we take a walk to the waterfall Svartifoss and another short walk towards the glacier tongue.

Today we head towards to Eldgja ("The Fire Fissure") and on to the magnificent place of Landmannalaugar, surrounded by colorful rhyolite mountains. Landmannalaugar is an extraordinary beautiful oasis in the highlands, featuring colorful mountains and geothermal activity. On the way to Hvolsvollur we drive along Mt. Hekla, an active volcano that erupted last in 2000.

We drive to the Reykjanes peninsula where the mid Atlantic ridge rises from the ocean. More than half of the peninsula is covered with lava flows, some of which are only a few hundred years old. We will visit boiling mud pool´s and hot springs and head for the lighthouse on the westernmost tip of the peninsula with rich bird life in the summer. Then we continue to the Blue Lagoon for a relaxing bath before driving to Reykjavik.

Day 7 As this weekend is Reykjavik Pride, we've booked your accommodation, but have left the remaining time free. Enjoy the festivities, or perhaps continue your adventure with a day-excursion. The choice is yours!
