Planes, trains and…elephants? You heard us right. OUT Adventures believes that your journey should be as much of a highlight as your destination. Chances are you’ll encounter all manner of weird and wonderful transportation options.

The actual vehicles used will depend on your trip style, as well as where and when you travel. You might find yourself riding an elephant, a camel, a bamboo raft, a bicycle, boarding a bus or even an airplane. The options are seemingly endless and all part of the adventure.

Freedom and Flexibility

One of the great things about travelling with OUT Adventures is the amount of free time built into our trips. Unlike some travel companies that plan every second of your itinerary, we make sure you get time to do the things you want to do.

Visit a museum, snap exotic pictures, taste the nightlife, enjoy a romantic dinner with your loved one – the choice is entirely yours. Pursue your own interests one day, then take part in organized activities another. Your experienced leader knows their destinations intimately, and will take the hassle out of getting you the experience you want.

Accommodation

We’ll be honest with you. You’re not going to find a Hyatt or a Hilton on an OUT Adventures trip! You will, however, find LGBT-friendly accommodation that captures the essence of the location you’re in.

Whether it’s a centrally located city hotel or a homestay in a tribal village - staying close to a region’s people and culture is one of our guiding principles. Our accommodation choices are based on friendliness and openness, as well as facilities, character and convenience. You won’t be disappointed! Of course, standards vary according to trip style with Comfort Adventures offering a superior level of accommodation.

A Rainbow of local Flavours

No matter where you are on your OUT Adventure, great food is always close by. Our trips often include some meals, so you’ll never go hungry. But other times, we encourage you to explore the wide range of local cuisine. From street stalls to 4-stars, your leader can give you the best advice on where to dine for delicious, authentic food.

Local Payment

Most of our trips include a local payment that is collected by your leader on the first day.

The local payment is held by the leader and disbursed for your benefit to cover incidental in-country expenses and services. Paying locally facilitates the flow of funds to local suppliers, and in turn keeps our prices competitive – so we pass the savings onto you.
